Once you have finished editing the picture- Make sure the background colour in the colour palette is white (or the colour of the border you want) |

Go to -Image – canvas size |

Make sure relative is ticked & unit of measure is as you want e.g. mm - and make sure it is showing in the centre of grid. Choose size of border to put around the picture and click ok
This adds a white border |

To put a black edge to the border select the whole picture – go to select –all
Short cut keys- Ctrl + A You should now see the ‘ants' around the outside of the whole picture |

Go to edit then come down to stroke |

Choose the options that you want Click ok |

Deselect the picture. Go to select –deselect
Short cut keys Ctrl+D
You should now have a thin black line round the edge of the whole picture with a white mount. (if these are the colours you chose. |

Please note: This process will make the picture larger than the original. You may want to resize it to fit your paper ie go to image – image size and complete as desired. |
