WCPF Members' Exhibition

The next meeting was an opportunity to become our own judges when we viewed some of the print images accepted in last year's Western Counties Photographic Federation Members' Exhibition.

This time instead of a general critique we divided into small groups and reviewed 5 images per group and chose the group favourite. These were displayed and reasons given for the choice. The batches of five were then circulated around all of the groups for the process to be repeated. The result was that only two of the images were actually chosen more than once as a group favourite proving how difficult it is for judges to please everybody!

Not that this means we will be more understanding ng of judges in future! However, this exercise enabled plenty of free talk and chat and gave members far more of an opportunity to express their views.

We finished with a look at several other images from the WCPF boxes which as always showed the range of photographic skills in our area and inspiration for our own work.
